There will be a NSA Black America Firecracker Classic held July 2 – 4,
2010 @ Briarfield Park. Jim Finch (Director for NSA Virginia) and
Maurice (Mo) Johnson (NSA Director – North Carolina) have put this event
together and looking forward to a great turn out. Please pass this
information throughout the softball community.
- 3 Game Guarantee
- Location – Briarfield Park
- Entry Fee - $300 plus $25 sanction fee if not already sanctioned in
NSA
- Divisions – Men Competitive and Recreation, Women Competitive and
Recreation
Prizes are as follows:
- $500 – Cash Prize to each division winner (amount could vary depending
upon the number of teams entered)
- Division Winners receive berth to respective World Series
- Home Run Derby on 2 July, $10 (12 pitches) with prize money split
between the winner and NSA.
Hit your own balls 44 C.O.R. 400 compression
- NSA Skills Challenge - $50 for team of two. Home Run, Throwing and
Running Contest. Prize includes a bat, back pack and batting glove for
each player on the winning team.
- Teams are allowed 4 non-black players
- Can bat 12
- 65 min time limit plus one inning
- Men Competitive – 6 Homeruns and 1 Up
- Men Recreation – 2 Homeruns and 1 Up

- Women Recreation and Competitive is unlimited home runs
